ABOUT THE OWNER / SPEECH THERAPIST

My name is Ashley Bagwell and I am the owner and speech language pathologist behind Bagwell Speech Therapy.  I received both my bachelors and masters degrees from Michigan State University.  I am an ASHA certified and Michigan licensed speech and language pathologist, currently based in Oakland Township, MI.  I have been working in the field of speech language pathology since 2011.  I have extensive experience in the private practice and school settings, specializing in neurodiversity affirming therapy, articulation, speech sound disorders, and receptive/expressive language development.  I also have a passion for working with autistic individuals and their families.  I strongly believe that kids NEED to be regulated in order to learn and communicate in the most effective way.  For this reason, you will find many sensory strategies integrated into the speech session and parent training I provide.  I hold a Sensory Certificate for SLPs through the Inside Out Sensory Certificate Course.  I believe in working not only with the child, but including parents in the speech and language sessions as much as possible so you can learn how to empower your child at home too!

 

ABOUT BAGWELL SPEECH THERAPY

At Bagwell Speech Therapy, we provide one-on-one, individualized therapy sessions to the preschool and school-aged population in Rochester, MI and the surrounding areas. We offer flexible hours and locations, including in-home therapy, therapy at a local library, or providing services at your child's daycare center.  We have also partnered with Budding Behavior, an awesome therapy clinic located in Auburn Hills, MI.  Bagwell Speech Therapy is now providing speech therapy services to the children during their time at the clinic.  Teletherapy is also available to those clients living within the state of Michigan.  Head over to the FAQ page to find out what insurance providers we are currently in-network with.

ABOUT RACHAEL

Rachael Loscher joined the Bagwell Speech Therapy team back in April 2025.  She is a certified speech language pathologist and holds a MI license.  She graduated with her masters from Wayne State University.  Rachael comes to us with a wealth of knowledge and experience including time working in both the schools and as a home-based therapist.  Rachael's career has been focused around working with school-aged children from pre-k through high school.  She is excited to be a part of our team and to start working with some of our amazing clients!

ABOUT JESSICA

Jessica Hoang is joining the Bagwell Speech Therapy team coming in May 2026.  She is passionate about building meaningful connections with her clients.  She believes that strong therapeutic rapport and trust lay the foundation for successful therapy.  She encourages partnering with families and finds that therapy works best when families are a part of the process.  Jessica graduated from Wayne State University.  She has spent the past 6 years working in the public schools, and prior to that she worked in a pediatric outpatient clinic as well as providing in-home therapy services.  Jessica has experience supporting children from 15 months old through adolescence with developing their speech and language skills, all while honoring diverse communication styles.   At home, Jessica has two young children of her own and three pets which keep her and her husband on their toes!
